Our matching M3MX mix rooms feature the same internal frame and insulated double skin as our industry-leading M3X booths. They are available as stand-alone rooms for use inside the shop or they can be joined to our own or other booths. Our M3MX paint mix room can even be built as a freestanding external building. We also offer ETL-listed mix rooms that mach perfectly with our M3+, M3, and M3G booths. Our mix rooms are configured with color correcting lights, positive cabin pressure, and a host of safety features.
NorAM has been manufacturing and installing the M3 line of booths, prep stations, and mixing rooms since 1995. Our M3 series mix rooms are the most durable on the market, and have several unique features:
- Rugged post and beam construction is designed for indoor or outdoor use under all weather conditions, including heavy snow or high winds.
- Our interlocking weather-tight 3” standing seam roof system is made of 18 gauge galvanized steel. It is roll-formed over the full width of the roof and attached with a hidden fastener system that secures without screwing through the roof. This design provides the mix room with a penetration-free roof that allows for explosion relief via release of the entire roof or only those sections that are impacted.
- Support beams span the full width of mix room. They are evenly spaced across the interior and have gussets at each end for extra strength.
- Self-sealing interlocking wall panels are 2˝” thick X 30” wide X 11’ tall (there is insulation and internal framing for the full height of the mix room structure). Panels consist of two 20 gauge galvanized steel sheets that are factory etched, primed, and finished in non-glare white. These panels are locked over a rigid internal steel frame and packed with 3” of R-19 fiberglass insulation. Our panels weigh about twice as much as our competitors’ because they are built to last. Nobody builds a tougher paint booth or mix room. All M3 series products feature full-height ceilings instead of hip-roof designs for maximum interior space.
- Floor track system locks the room securely to the ground and serves both as a spill containment dam and as a curb to prevent intrusion by water or contaminants in the shop.
- Mix rooms feature single or double-width personnel doors. All doors are 3” thick, internally framed, and heavily insulated. Doors have large safety glass windows for easy observation. The doors use a full perimeter rubber gasket. They are attached to the frame with our custom-made hinges that utilize brass wear bushings and can be finely adjusted. Each door is equipped with panic exit hardware for safety and ease of operation.
- Our specially designed ceiling-mounted indirect lighting package provides ideal illumination everywhere in the mix room. We use 6–tube light fixtures that are installed with 6000° k/97 CRI color-correcting bulbs. This system provides 150 lumens or more per square foot. By reflecting off the white walls and the white components of the ceiling area, our lighting system is virtually glare and shadow free.
- Our mix rooms can be ordered with 4 walls for a freestanding room, 3 walls for a room that attaches directly to an existing booth, or 2 walls for a room that goes between two booths. We also have custom sizes available, and even offer heating and cooling systems for our rooms.
